Our Partners and Collaborators
Institute of Systems Biology SPb takes part in the studies which relate with different disciplines of biology both fundamental and applied areas. Because of this our partners and collaborators correspond to both commercial companies and academic organizations. Moreother, our Institute have been introduces to science consortiums organized at the 6th and the 7th framework programmes of Euro comission. High interest observed for our research activities and investigations from the side of defferent companies and research laboratories evedences that such systems biology methods as kinetic modeling of biochemical pathways or PK/PD modeling of drug action take important part in large number of modern biochemical, pharmacologic and biotechnological studies.

Collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline

As a company with a firm foundation in science, GlaxoSmithKline has a flair for research and a track record of turning that research into powerful, marketable drugs. GSK produces medicines that treat six major disease areas – asthma, virus control, infections, mental health, diabetes and digestive conditions. In addition, GSK is a leader in the important area of vaccines and are developing new treatments for cancer.

In framework of collaboration between Institute for Systems Biology SPb and GlaxoSmithKline several interesting investigations was made in both fundamental and applied areas. More information about results of collaboration between Institute for Systems Biology SPb and GlaxoSmithKline you could find at following pages of our site: strain improvement research and optimization; Development of control systems for increase of biotechnological production efficiency and Optimization of drug libraries screening.
