University of Barcelona is one of the prominent universities in the Spain. Biol. at Faculty of Biology has an excellent range of facilities for systems biology andin particular for metabolic profile and bioinformatics.

The Institute of Systems Biology SPb collaborates with Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of University of Barcelona. The team of this department has extensive experience in modelling biological processes relevant to different pathologies in the framework of translational research projects. The main activity of this collaboartion is a participation in different reserch projects, i.g ETHERPATHS (7th EU Framework Programme).
