Research area, which is studied in our Institute, is wide enough. Conditionally it could be separated into five directions (we say “conditionally” because the results of one invetigation could be very often used in the several both applied and fundamental directions. Two first directions are applied research in such fields as bioengineering and biotechnology, pharmacology and pharmaceutics, as well as nutrition problems. Here, you cold see not only research description and target settings but also their practical effect, in other words how successful was their application in the real industrial conditions. The section "Kinetic Modeling" is dedicated to the fundamental research of several metabolic and genetic pathways. Three last sections relate about results in pathway reconstructions, bioinformatics and methodological developments realised by Institute for Systems Biology SPb.
